McKinsey & Company: Supporting research with design

 
 

In addition to consulting work for clients big and small, McKinsey & Company are known for helping define the conversation surrounding some of society’s biggest issues. The McKinsey Global Institute provides important research in business and economics and publishes numerous reports that are then used in McKinsey’s web, social, and print channels.

Poorer Than Their Parents? Flat or Falling Incomes in Advanced Economies is one example of a McKinsey report that used a wide variety of design assets. Using data provided by McKinsey Global Institute, I designed 7 infographics for print and online use—an overall look at this issue, and a deeper dive into the individual countries affected. In addition, a series of charts, graphs, and an animated graphic were developed to present the findings on a wide range of platforms.
