Epik Solutions: Revising a company’s visual brand

THE CHALLENGE: Epik Solutions—doing business as Epikso—is a company specializing in managed service engagements for enterprise clients in banking, healthcare, utilities, and more. In about a decade, it has grown to hundreds of employees and expanded to three global locations—California, Mexico, and India.

However, this growth had outpaced the company’s branding and visual identity, which needed a fresh look to resonate with modern audiences. Furthermore, there was no one at the company who was responsible for branding and design, which led to a large amount of inconsistency over the company’s marketing materials, website, presentations, and social media posts.

THE PLAN: As Epikso’s first in-house designer and head of creative, I determined that the best path forward would be to update and modernize Epikso’s existing branding, to avoid the complexity and time needed for a full rebrand.

Materials developed:

  • Updated company logos with better readability and a modernized aesthetic

  • A logo for Epikso’s flagship FieldOps.AI product

  • Revised typography and color standards

  • New Google Slides & PowerPoint presentation templates, slide libraries, and design systems

  • New document templates

  • New business cards, one sheets, flyers, and other printed materials.

  • Rebranding guide

In addition, training materials were developed to assist team members in implementing the new design standards.

RESULTS:

Epikso’s brand was significantly modernized and simplified, better positioning the company in the marketplace.
